Buyer-first independent review methodology.
We earn revenue from buyers who pay for a review, and from installers who pay a fee for qualified introductions. We think it's important to be direct about how that works.
- You can use our review service without ever taking an installer introduction.
- Whether an installer pays us anything does not affect what a QuoteCheck review says about their proposal.
- Whether an installer pays us anything does not affect the order in which we match or introduce installers to a buyer.
- Founding-partner and non-partner proposals are reviewed using the same methodology and the same checklist.
- Installer lead fees are commercial revenue for this business, not a factor in review findings.
- We do not sell sponsored rankings or placements.
- Any large-project commercial arrangement that could reasonably affect a buyer's trust in a review will be disclosed on the relevant report.
We describe ourselves as running a "buyer-first independent review methodology" rather than claiming to be "completely independent" — we do have commercial relationships with installers, and we'd rather be precise about what independence means here than overstate it.
